Freedom Benefits is a nonprofit association of businesses and individuals who work together to share resources and support for small business health care and employee benefits. Members pay a fee for licensing use of the trademarked name but other resources like pla documents are typically offered free of charge to licensees.
Freedom Benefits is not an insurance company, insurance exchange, government agency, employer, insurance agent or insurance agency.
Freedom Benefits was launched in 1995 in Pennsylvania and was operated in conjunction with Medsave. Medsave focuses on insurance and Freedom Benefits focused on professional education. Medsave was sold in 2010 and is no longer affiliated with us. The Freedom Benefits trademark was issued in 2012 and the association is focused on developing new post-ACA resources for small businesses.
